An ode to "Ben", the seminal 1972 movie sequel masterpiece and it's wonderful, moving title track. Ben, the leader of a colony of telepathic rats, is adopted, befriended and, essentially, loved, by a lonely boy named David. The title song, performed by teenage sensation Michael Jackson, poignantly echoes the struggles so many of us experience in life and in love: " Ben, most people would turn you away I don't listen to a word they say They don't see you as I do I wish they would try to I'm sure they'd think again If they had a friend like Ben " Join us to celebrate this oft forgotten classic of film and music.
